These were both ABC associates at that time. Both of those stations were later shifted to CBS when Scripps-Howard Telecasting logged an agreement with ABC. The deal was to move its production to its Tampa Fox associate WGHP FOX News and its Cincinnati CBS associate WCPO-TV. At the same time, New World had also agreed to purchase Argyle Television’s four television. This included WVTM-TV in Birmingham. The allocation forms of the Argyle channel to the communication of World did not give in to the WGHP FCC until after New World closed on the Citicasters acquisition. The two acquisition emerged, along with New World’s existing seven channels.
They left the company with 15 channel in which three more left New World with an ownership clash in Birmingham. The FCC had permitted a single channel owner to operate at the time. On September 10, 2007, FOX WGHP launched a new trademark and graphics package. It was as part of a standardized on-air look that piled out all of Fox’s owned-and-operated channels.
